About Medora Studios

Medora Studios is a creative studio dedicated to making the world of fused glass jewellery accessible and playful. Through our open‑level workshops, we invite people of all backgrounds to explore the organic, experimental nature of handmade fused glass.

Every session with us is built around curiosity, giving space to play, discover, and embrace the unpredictable beauty of molten glass.

About me (Jessie)

I learned about making glass jewellery from my father, who runs a fused glass jewellery business in Bermuda. Visiting his studio and experimenting with him shaped my love for materials and making, and Medora Studios is an extension of that relationship, now reimagined through my own artistic practice.

My journey in art began with a love for photography, which led me to study a Foundation in Art and Design at UCA Farnham and later a Fine Art: Sculpture degree at UAL Wimbledon. During my studies I immersed myself in bronze casting, welding, and other metalwork, developing a hands‑on relationship with materials that continues to guide my practice today.

After graduating, I naturally returned to jewellery alongside a range of craft processes. I am still a practicing multidisciplinary artist, working across craft, performance, and photography.

Teaching is one of my passions. Being questioned, challenged, and pushed to rethink materials by others continually expands my own understanding. I first began teaching through children’s art and craft workshops, and later discovered how much I loved sharing skills with friends, family, and online communities. I cherish hearing people’s stories and creating relaxed and open environments where anyone can make art.

Medora Studios is my way of combining my passions and knowledge, and an invitation for others to connect, experiment, and create something uniquely their own.
